Center for Political Studies, responding to the request of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine, has prepared proposals to the draft Decree by the President of Ukraine on announcing the year 2009 as the Year of Creativity and Innovations in Ukraine.
CPS proposals are available to download ( download). Soon, the final version of the Decree will be posted. |
Leigh Turner, Her Royal Majesty’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine, met in Lviv with "Intercultural Navigators" - participants of the new project of the British Council.
Mr. Turner ( click to view the official bio) stressed that the United Kingdom, together with other G7 counties, are trying to convince Ukrainian leadership to pursue a more civilised path in domestic politics.
Answering the participants' questions, Mr. Turner confirmed that Britain is not going to ease the visa procedures to Ukrainian citizens.

Urban Rusnak, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to Ukraine, visited the Center for Political Studies.
H.E. Urban Rusnak and Mrs. Anar Rusnakova, representative of the International Visegrad Foundation, discussed the opportunities for cooperation and presented a gift from the Slovak Republic.

On Friday CPS hosted a meeting with young political scientist from Germany.
Kristian, who arrived to Ukraine to work as a volunteer at Agency for regional development in Western Ukraine, came to Donbass to learn more about the political culture of Eastern Ukrainians.
Young political scientists from Donetsk National University got involved in the discussion.

Ukrainian Civil society experts have finalized the proposals on the Swedish-Polish-Czech project on "Eastern Partnership".

CPS has concluded the European Week of Local Democracy at the Donetsk National University, as scheduled. Within the Week there were conducted: public opinion poll, presentations, interactive games "Tale of Two Cities" and "Demo-Quest", co-organized by the youth from the Young Diplomats' Club of the Donetsk National University.
