Citizens' association "Center for Political Studies" (CPS) is one of the oldest non-governmental non-for-profit organizations (NGO) and think-tanks in the Donetsk region, established on the base of the Donetsk National University in 1992.
The CPS was created with the support of the Open Society Institute, with which it maintained most active cooperation for a prolonged time. Later, a local representative office of the International Renaissance Foundation (part of the global network of Soros Foundations) worked on the base of CPS.
Philosophy and values of the Open Society are crucial for the activity of CPS up to the present days. The Center's policy work is aimed at implementing the values of open society in the crucial spheres of Ukrainian society through local projects, informational support, access to resources and advocacy.

Об’єднання громадян "Центр політологічних досліджень" – неприбуткова громадська організація, що була заснована у липні 1992 року за фінансовою підтримкою програми підтримки вищої освіти (HESP) Інституту Відкритого Суспільства (м. Будапешт).
Місія Центру – бути мозковим центром для проєвропейських демократичних трансформацій в регіоні та Україні, надавати підтримку молоді, що розвиває свої вміння і здібності на користь місцевій громаді.
В основі філософії Центру є концепція Відкритого Суспільства, що розробляв Карл Поппер та втілює в життя мережа фондів, заснованих фінансистом та філантропом на ім'я Джордж Сорос.
Центр здійснює соціологічні дослідження, запрошуємо ознайомитись з прес-релізом за результатами опитування, проведеного Центром, щодо думки донеччан стосовно економічної кризи (завантажити).
